Our Story

Cardinal & Tusk began long before I knew I was starting a jewelry business.

In August 2025, I lost both of my grandmothers just two weeks apart. My Goodmama, Margaret, and my Memaw, Lynn, were two incredibly important women in my life, and losing them so close together brought a season of deep grief.

As a way to honor them, I began creating necklaces that reminded me of each of them. For my Goodmama, I created a necklace featuring an elephant and a cross—symbols that held special meaning and reminded me of who she was and the faith she carried. For my Memaw, I created a piece inspired by her, with seashells and pearls.

What started as a way to remember two women I loved became something unexpected: a place to put my grief.

Friends began noticing the necklaces and asking me to make pieces for them, too. At the time, I was working a full-time job, raising my two kids, and had absolutely no plans to start a jewelry business.

Then life shifted again.

In March 2026, I left my job to focus on caring for my family. A few months later, in July, a friend taught me how to make beaded necklaces.

So I started creating.

I made a few pieces, shared them on Instagram, and they sold out. So I made more.

Those sold, too.

Before long, what had begun as a creative outlet during a difficult season had grown into something I never planned, but felt increasingly certain I was being led toward.

Blue Bridge Beads, or B3, which later became Cardinal & Tusk Jewelry was born.

Inspired by my Goodmama's love for Elephants and Memaw's adoration with Cardinals, this business became so much more than jewelry to me. Looking back, I can see the Lord’s hand weaving together pieces of my story that, at the time, seemed completely unrelated, loss, motherhood, leaving a career, creativity, friendship, and faith.

What began in grief became a source of healing, restoration, creativity, and renewed purpose.

And that story is at the heart of every piece I create.

At Cardinal & Tusk, I believe beauty goes far beyond what is trending.

Jewelry doesn’t make you beautiful. A certain style, size, age, outfit, or trend doesn’t determine your beauty.

Beauty is already inside you.

You were created uniquely, intentionally, and purposefully by an undeniable Creator.

Cardinal & Tusk Jewelry is simply here to celebrate that, to add a little color, a little fun, and hopefully a little joy to your day.

My prayer is that when you wear our pieces, it makes you smile. That you feel free to embrace your own style and remember that you were never created to look exactly like everyone else.

Not every season of life will bring happiness. Some seasons are incredibly hard. I know that firsthand.

But I’ve also learned that even in those seasons, there can still be joy.

Cardinal & Tusk exists because I’ve seen that firsthand.
